Kicking off the new year with a chance to share, explore and release all the words you’ve kept in your notes, we’re super excited to launch Echoes of Free~dom - Poetry Open Mic night at The Retreat!

MC’d by multidisciplinary artist Queen V, you’ll have the chance to step up to the mic and recite your poetry, stories, raps or any other written material!

Queen V is a French Caribbean Poet , Mc, Host, a Visual Artist and recently birthed a wellness & creative business named Kriyaness, where where she guides.

Her natural confidence on stage performing at Bar Oussou in March 2023 provided her a stepping stone to become a well-respected MC & Poet at Bar Oussou and at Black History Month Festival 2023 at Runner up rooftop Bar.

Whether it’s the first time reciting poetry out loud or your millionth time, individuals from all walks of life are encouraged to join the space and feel nurtured by the community!
